  • Google Mobile’s Strategy

    Google’s ambitious mobile strategy is further evidence of the power of the advertising-revenue driven business model. The search-engine giant can entice handset makers with free software and operators with a cut of the advertising revenue stream. That cuts through a lot of the fights in the mobile business about who gets what share of the pie. There’s still lots to be worked on the mobile phone business model and while Google’s gambit is interesting the mobile phone wars are really just beginning. Looking forward to thoughts on how Google’s strategy will evolve and what others, such as Apple and the operators, will do.
